The season 4 final episode of ”The Equalizer: Shattered” was released on May 19, 2024. In ”Shattered” Melody Bayani aka Mel (played by Liza Lapira) gets abducted by the kidnapper, named Eric aka Billal Malik, who was from Mel’s Air Force team she was a part of once.
Bilal and his brother, Imran, intend to kill Mel as she was found to have been involved in the death of their father, Farhan (a terrorist).
Mel’s husband Harry Keshegian (portrayed by Adam Goldberg) found her in time and was able to rescue her from abductors.
Harry’s CIA connection, Colton Fisk, proves that Bilal along with his brother, their father, Farhan is still alive, survived the shooting, and was given a new identity to restart his life.
However, Imran was still angry and detonated a grenade. Billal jumped on it to save everyone in the room and died instantly right before Mel’s eyes, which triggered Mel’s Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from her time in the army.
She later told her team, including former CIA agent and justice vigilante Robyn McCall (Queen Latifah), that she would take some time off.
