On Thursday, June 20, 2024, Donald’s son Kiefer penned out a heartfelt emotional statement as a tribute to his father on Twitter (X) and a photo of him as a young boy and his father.

The “24 (2001–2010)” actor, Kiefer, remembered his father, Donald, as a performer who loved his craft and as one of Hollywood’s most iconic stars.
Donald Sutherland is survived by his wife, Francine Racette, and his five children: Rossif Sutherland, Angus Sutherland, Roeg Sutherland, Kiefer Sutherland, and Rachel Sutherland.
Donald shared three children with Francine Racette: Rossif Sutherland, Angus Sutherland, and Roeg Sutherland. With the late Shirley Douglas, he had twins Kiefer Sutherland and Rachel Sutherland.

In February 2010, Kiefer had to undergo a surgical procedure because of a cyst rupturing near one of his kidneys while working with the production of the Fox network’s thriller TV Series “24.”
Consequently, Fox TV announced right after his surgery that they were temporarily suspending production of Season 8 of the series.

After an injury, he gave a detailed account of his injury via his Twitter (X) on August 15, 2019.
He elaborated that he slipped on the steps of his tour bus while traveling to Denmark, which injured his rib, making it difficult to breathe and impossible to sing.
On 7 November 2022, through his Twitter account, once again, he shared his ailment of being infected with Covid-19.
Also, he apologized to his fans, who purchased tickets, reserved time, and traveled to attend his concert, as he was disappointed for his fans.
