In 2023, after a three-month trial at Leicester Crown Court, Mrs. Ansreen Bukhari, 46, and her daughter, Mahek Bukhari, 24, were convicted of the double m*rder of Mr. Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin and Mr. Saqib Hussain.
Mrs. Ansreen Bukhari was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 26 years and 9 months for two counts of m*rder.
While her daughter, Mahek Bukhari, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 31 years and 8 months for two counts of m*rder.
Reportedly, during the trial, the jury at Leicester Crown Court disclosed that Mr. Saqib Hussain had threatened to use their s*xually explicit video to expose his long-running affair with Mrs. Ansreen Bukhari.
Mrs. Ansreen Bukhari told the Leicester Crown Court that she wanted to end her long-running affairs with Saqib Hussain on good terms.
Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin was threatening to send explicit videos and images of his lover, Saqib Hussain, to her husband right after Mrs. Bukhari broke off their three-year affair.
Former British-Pakistani social media star Mahek Bukhari, who already had a large fan following of 129,000 followers on TikTok, recruited a group of six people to threaten the late Mr. Hussain and Mr. Ijazuddin.
In February 2022, Mrs. Bukhari pretense to return £3,000 that Mr. Hussain had spent on their affair to plot the trap to kill them by meeting them in a Leicester Tesco car park.
They were m*rdered in a car that was forced off the road in a deliberate collision instigated by Mrs. Bukhari and her daughter as part of revenge after Mr. Hussain threatened her to expose their three-year affair with Saqib Hussain to her son and husband.
Mr. Ijazuddin, 21, and Mr. Hussain, 21, passed away on February 11, 2022, when their car was split into two and caught fire after hitting a tree at the Six Hills junction.
In a 999 call made by Mr. Hussain before his d*ath, he said,
”They’re trying to kill me, I’m going to die… please sir, I just need help. They’re hitting the back of the car, really fast… please I’m begging you. I’m going to die.”

A painful scream was heard on the line before the call ended abruptly, as per the statement given by the police officer who received the last-minute call from Mr. Hussain.
