Georgia-born chef Paula Deen’s heart attack news is misleading and baseless at the same time.
She is doing just fine and resides in Savannah, Georgia, where she owns and operates The Lady & Sons restaurant with her sons, Jamie and Bobby Deen.
However, she has had her share of health issues in the past.
When she was in her 20s, she suffered from depression and agoraphobia.
To deal with her depression and agoraphobia, she began to spend more time preparing food for her family.
At that time, cooking food for her family was the only way she could carry out the battle against her illness without stepping out of her house.
Similarly, in 2012, there was an announcement of Paula Deen having type 2 diabetes, but she was diagnosed in 2008, which she kept secret.
Even though diabetes is the primary cause of heart disease and stroke, there’s no authentic confirmation up to now that she had a heart attack.

In 2015, Deen opened ‘Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen‘ in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where guests could enjoy classic Deen family recipes in a unique family-style setting.
Later, in 2020, Deen opened ”Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen‘ in Nashville, Tennessee; in 2021, its other outlet was inaugurated in Panama City Beach.
Deen’s Southern cooking recipes had been passed down from her grandmother, Irene Paul, who taught her the secret art of Southern cooking.
