  • Lundy-Paine, Intili, and Schoenbrun spent a memorable day having a picnic.
  • It was during a wild night of screaming into a microphone at a local punk studio that Lundy-Paine confined to being in love with Intili.

Brigette Lundy-Paine and Sam Intili first crossed paths in 2021 when Lundy-Paine met filmmaker Jane Schoenburn through Intili, who was a friend of Intili’s at the time.

Little did they know then that this fortuitous connection would spark a beautiful romance between the two artists.

It was over Zoom initial meetings with Schoenbrun to discuss an exciting new film project that Lundy-Paine and Intili were first introduced.

An immediate creative connection was forged as the trio began fleshing out ideas for what would become the 2024 celebrated film indie film “I Saw the TV Glow.”

Lundy recalls,

“We just knew we wanted to work together on this TV Glow project.”

As pre-production ramped up, Lundy-Paine, Intili, and Schoenbrun spent a memorable day having a picnic and cementing their collaboration at the historic Green Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.

It was there that they decided Lundy-Paine was perfect for the lead role of Maddy in the film.

An intense few months of filming that summer followed, with Lundy-Paine fully immersing themselves in character, even living out of a tiny attic room to better understand Maddy’s perspective.

Meanwhile, a spark was growing between Lundy-Paine and Intili as they spent long days together on set.

In one particularly cherished memory, the duo, along with Schoenbrun, visited Coney Island, taking an adventurous ride on the iconic Spook-A-Rama funhouse attraction.

Though the experience initially spooked Lundy-Paine, they would later re-ride it happily with friends as a symbolic overcoming of that fear.

By the time filming wrapped, Lundy-Paine’s feelings for Intili could no longer be denied.

As Schoenbrun recounts, it was during a wild night of screaming into a microphone at a local punk studio that Lundy-Paine confined to being in love with Intili.

The two have been inseparable since, with Intili featured lovingly in Lundy Paine’s social media as “my angel” on Lundy Paine’s recent birthday.

Their artistic collaboration and personal bond are sure to produce many more memorable creative efforts in the years to come.

In Case You Didn’t Know

  • Lundy Paine enjoys spending time with and learning from individuals who have autism.
  • They prefer not to label their sexuality.
  • They strive to bring queer culture into the mainstream both in their work and in their everyday life.
