NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Jana Kramer was on cloud nine when she thought she might be pregnant again with fiance Allan Russell.
“Guys, I have an announcement to make,” Kramer, 40, told co-hosts Kathryn Woodward and Kristen Brust in the latest episode of her Whine Down podcast.
Five months after welcoming her son Roman James Russell in November, the actress revealed that she and her fiance had a ‘little whoopsie‘ moment, prompting her to believe she might be pregnant again.
Plus, her ‘two weeks‘ late period assured her that she might be expanding her brood.
“[Allan’s] always so careful, so I wasn’t mad at him ’cause it’s never happened like that before. It’s literally never happened before,” the 40-year-old noted.
‘Freaking out‘ for two weeks, she finally decided to take a test.
“I took a pregnancy test… so, I was late. …When I started counting, I was like, ‘oh my God, I’m gonna be pregnant.“
“I see a faint, faint, faint, faint, just like my first time, faint, faint, line.…This is how it happened with Roman. I had a faint little line, and then I was pregnant. So, I was like, ‘I’m totally pregnant.’”
But then, three days later, her period started, making her realize that her test was negative.
Upon seeing the result, the One Tree Hill star felt disappointed.
“I was like, ‘Well, I kind of want another one.’ … I got to a place where I I’m like, ‘I would love another one with [Allan] on the right timeline.’”
However, Kramer said that if there is one thing that is holding her back from having another baby, it is her age.
“I’m 40, and that’s the piece that stops me,” she continued.
“I’m like, ‘If I was younger, I would have another in a heartbeat. If I was 38, I would have another one.”
Her son Jace, who she shares with ex Mike Caussin, also prays to a little ‘rock‘ asking for another baby.
“Then Jace takes this little rock and he goes, out of nowhere, I mean, literally, out of nowhere, ‘Dear God, I want my mommy to have another baby,’ and prays to this rock. And I was like, ‘Throw the rock f—king outside. Chuck the rock f—king outside.’”
Just like Kramer, her fiance, Russell, is open to expanding their family, but he doesn’t want to have a baby through surrogacy.
“I don’t think my body could handle another one and he doesn’t want to do IVF. So I think it’s done.“
Kramer welcomed her first child, Roman, with her fiance on November 13, 2023, after being engaged in May 2023.
Sharing the happy news, she took to her Instagram and wrote,

While Roman is Kramer’s first child with Russell, she is also a mom to Jolie, 7, and Jace, 4, whom she had with ex-husband Mike Caussin.
